How we RUN: We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced bilingual (English/Spanish) lawyer to work for UMG Fonovisa/Disa`s Universal Music Latin Entertainment and Virgin US Latin sub-labels. This position is responsible for a significant transaction flow related to the negotiation and drafting of various agreements related to music and entertainment, rights clearance and legal advice related to the acquisition of content and the exploitation of registered products. How to CREATE: • Ongoing legal advice for the above transactions • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, including exclusive recording, management, distribution, licensing, profit sharing, production, producer, performer, and featured artist contracts, video, photo, remix and other agreements related to the entertainment and music industries. • Provide feedback and legal support related to commercial entertainment strategies and their implementation. • Responsible for reviewing data letters, monitoring critical deadlines, payments and other outstanding rights and obligations set out in agreements, and informing relevant company personnel of this information. • Responsible for clarifying legal rights and authorizing the release of registered products. • Maintenance of internal rights management systems.

• Work with UMG`s central legal department and UMG`s external lawyers as required in litigation. Bring your VIBE: • Fluency in spoken and written English/Spanish. • Proven in-depth knowledge of agreements relating to production, distribution, distribution, marketing, financing, phonograms and video products. • Has good knowledge of drafting and negotiating agreements for the acquisition, marketing and exploitation of recorded content. • In-depth knowledge of music law, music industry, intellectual property and record company issues. • Must be able to work under time pressure. • Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities. • Computer experience: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
